The Window Pool: The hidden secret of Nahal David

All the information about the Window Pool: The Window Pool, located beneath the David waterfall, looks like a magical and remote place—yet no, it's in the beloved Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, but on the more canyon-like and less well-known side of it. Reaching it requires hiking up and down, among pools and small waterfalls, but the view you'll see from there—the Dead Sea and the mountains of Moab—and the swim will make you forget them. Like any pool, the Window Pool is filled mainly in winter and spring, after flash floods. Essential information: Entry to the reserve from the field school to the viewing path in Ein Gedi is allowed during these hours: 8:00–12:00 in winter, and up to 14:00 in summer. You must leave the reserve by 16:00 in winter and by 17:00 in summer. Entry to the reserve requires payment: on holidays—at the beginning of the trail; on weekdays—at the end. The route is not a loop, but the starting and ending points are not far from one another.
