Frequently asked questions

Practical answers before booking your hotel in Paris.

Which arrondissement should we choose in Paris?

For palace hotels, the 8th (Golden Triangle, Plaza Athénée, George V, Bristol) or the 1st (Ritz, Le Meurice, Costes). For Left Bank charm, the 6th (Saint-Germain) and 7th (Eiffel Tower, Invalides). For Le Marais and historic atmosphere, the 3rd or 4th. Avoid the outer arrondissements (16th west, 13th, 19th, 20th) unless you have a specific reason — Paris is best lived on foot in the central districts.

What budget should we plan for a Paris hotel?

Expect €250-450 per night in a 4-star boutique, €450-900 in a 5-star, €800-3,000 for palaces (Bristol, Plaza Athénée, Ritz, George V, Le Meurice). For a tighter budget, €130-220 buys a well-located 3-star (Marais, Saint-Germain, Montmartre). Peak seasons: April-June, September-October, fashion weeks and the holiday season.

How do we reach Paris from CDG or Orly?

From CDG: RER B (35 min, €11) to Châtelet, flat-fare taxi €56 Right Bank / €65 Left Bank, or a private transfer €70-90 for 4. From Orly: Orlyval + RER B (35 min), tram T7 + metro, or flat-fare taxi €36 / €32. Elynor Tours can arrange a private French-speaking transfer — often worth it for 3-4 travellers with luggage.

Are there kosher hotels in Paris?

Several Paris hotels offer kosher arrangements or sit near kosher restaurants (rue Richer in the 9th, rue des Rosiers in the 4th, rue de Sébastopol). Some palace hotels (Bristol, Royal Monceau) can arrange kosher cuisine on request with notice. For Shabbat, hotels in the 9th (near major synagogues) or the 8th are most convenient. Let us know your requirements before booking.

When is the best time to visit Paris?

May-June and September-October offer the best weather balance (15-22°C) without the extreme summer crowds. Summer is busy, especially between the Champs-Élysées and the Louvre. December is magical with the illuminations but pricey. January-February: low prices, grey skies but empty museums.
