Enjoy self-picking in the embrace of nature—yours too, and even for the children—to rest and relax on Shabbat! Come to us for a day dedicated entirely to nature in a magical, interesting, and special place unlike any other orchard. Bring a mat, spread it under the trees in your favorite spot around the grounds, and enjoy a special experience of picking delicious, healthy citrus fruit full of vitamin C: clementines, oranges, grapefruits, lemons, and more. What awaits you with us in the orchard? Citrus fruit picking for the whole family: Our main attraction is self-picking, which takes place every year between the months of November and January. You're welcome to check our Facebook page, where we post every week which citrus fruits are included in the picking from the variety we have: yellow and red grapefruits, lemons, oranges, blood oranges, and clementines. There's no time limit for you, and you're more than welcome to spend a day of fun in the grounds with picking, a walk through the orchard, and a family picnic. Special activities in the grounds: The Race for a Lemon: A fun enrichment game through which we learn together about the fruit trees in the orchard. How does it work? All you need to bring is a smartphone and lots of good mood. With the smartphone, you scan the QR code on the first tree, and then you receive information and pictures about that tree. Inside the information page is hidden the name of the next tree you need to find in the orchard, along with additional hints. The goal is to stroll and locate trees throughout the orchard, and enrich your knowledge about them in the style of the game—"treasure hunt." Photo: Courtesy of Razi Farm, Kfar Neter Our story and the orchard Everything began with Grandpa Buska, who planted our orchard in 1949 and established a home and a flourishing estate. With the aim of producing tastier and better varieties of citrus fruit, in the 1960s he began experiments with citrus groves and developed the clementine variety "Michal," which to this day is considered one of the tastiest and most well-known varieties. Our orchard is not a typical orchard, and it was never a commercial orchard; its trees are old, and its varieties are different and diverse. We started the picking business in 2012 in order to preserve the glorious legacy of the orchard that he left us, and we cultivate the orchard ourselves without external workers—real Hebrew labor—growing fruit like in the past, with an emphasis on taste rather than size. Liberal Coffee Cart in Kfar Neter After the picking—or before it—you can enjoy great coffee and wonderful food. The Liberal Coffee Cart sits in the center of Kfar Neter and offers a magical rural atmosphere among the shade of the trees. In the place you'll find bar seating tables, regular tables spread throughout the grounds, mats for a more relaxed seating, and also toys scattered around the grounds for the little ones.
