Independence Park of the United States

All the information about Independence Park of the United States Independence Park USA covers about 30,000 dunams in the south-western foothills of the Judean Mountains. KKL began developing the park in 1976, on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of U.S. independence, to commemorate the connection between the two freedom-loving countries. Along the park's main axes, KKL prepared a large number of picnic areas, active recreation facilities, and viewpoints, from which the breathtaking landscapes of Nahal Shorek and the Judean Mountains are seen in full from Jerusalem to the Mediterranean Sea coast. Footpaths were also opened leading to lovely spots in the park; areas of natural woodland and archaeological sites were restored.
