Yavne Sea Beach

About

All the information about Yavne Sea Beach. Yavne Sea, which is located south of Palmachim Beach, is something like a peninsula that extends into the sea waters. It is one of the places where you can enjoy being alone with the sea and the waves, with calm far from the bustling crowds. Walking along the peninsula to the water allows you to descend to the shoreline, which is located on the western part of the mound (tel). A small path leads there; the sea waves crash against the rocks, foaming as they surge. Compared to the nearby and busy Palmachim Beach, here it is the kingdom of quiet. There was a settlement here already in the Chalcolithic period; Yavne Sea was an important Canaanite port city. At a certain period it was even under the rule of the Kingdom of Judah. History tells that Yehudah HaMaccabi burned the site due to suspicion that the Gentiles wanted to murder the Jews. Among the restorers was Yochanan Hyrkanos. An archaeological site that is still being excavated and studied. Along the walk on this golden stretch of coastline, you can enjoy the beautiful coastal vegetation and gaze from the mound at the breathtaking beach. When to come: At any time, and especially toward sunset—so it's a good idea to bring coffee and capture the moment in your camera. On winter days, the wave view from here is amazing. Note: Entry to the beach involves a fee (in summer for a private vehicle: 30 NIS; in winter for a private vehicle: 10 NIS). Swimming is active during the months of April–October, while the southern part of the coastline (Yavne Sea) is not guarded, and swimming is the sole responsibility of the swimmers!
