All information about the Walls Promenade – Jerusalem's Historic Trail Update 8/2/2021: The Walls Promenade reopens on Monday, 8/2/2021, in the southern promenade segment, from Jaffa Gate to the Western Wall. Tour routes: The tour route runs along most of the wall (except the Temple Mount area) and is divided into two: The Southern Promenade – this segment of the promenade, which stretches along about 1 km, runs above the Armenian Quarter and the Jewish Quarter: from Jaffa Gate to Zion Gate (with the option to reach near the Garbage Gate and the Western Wall prayer plaza). The walk is high above the city, at your own pace, and suitable for the whole family. The site operates according to the Purple Badge (תו סגול) guidelines. The Northern Promenade – this segment of the promenade runs above the Christian Quarter and the Muslim Quarter: from Jaffa Gate through the New Gate, Damascus Gate, and the Flower Gate to Lion Gate. In addition, you can descend from the Northern Promenade to the Roman Square and/or to the Zedekiah Cave. Useful information: The promenade is not accessible to baby strollers and for people with disabilities. You can enjoy free guided audio tours in the app. You must bring a mask. Advance ticket reservations only – via the PMI website. Entry to both promenades, the southern and the northern, is via Jaffa Gate.
