One of Yarkon's hidden gems is, in fact, an ancient flour mill that was renovated at the end of the 19th century by Sheikh Ibrahim Abu Rabah, after whom the mill is also named. In the ancient mill, built on the remains of the old mill "Tachunat el Vesta," about 12 pairs of millstones operated for grinding flour, powered by channeling water from the Yarkon River into the mill wheels.
